FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins, who missed the team's victory on Sunday with an illness, remained out of practice Wednesday.
In addition to Collins, right guard Tre' Jackson (left knee) and offensive tackles Marcus Cannon (toe) and Sebastian Vollmer (concussion) were held out of practice.
Cornerback Justin Coleman (hand) and safety Duron Harmon (knee) were new additions to the injury report, as they were limited in work.
The Patriots scaled things back and conducted a light walk-through session Wednesday, which was a break from the norm. That was a welcome change to players in the locker room, giving them an extra day to recover physically as the focus was more mental-based work.
The club received some positive news on the injury front as defensive end Jabaal Sheard, who has been out since injuring his ankle Oct. 18 against the Colts, returned to practice for the first time.
