Aljalian, of Watertown, Massachusetts, is an inspiring 6-year-old who turned the anniversary of the day he was diagnosed with leukemia, Nov. 3, into a day to spread random acts of kindness. He calls it "Gabriel's Day of Kindness". This year, three years after his initial diagnosis, Aljalian and his family brought gifts to Boston Children's Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
In recognition of his selflessness, the Make-A-Wish Foundation invited Aljalian and 10 other kids to Gillette Stadium to meet Brady, owner Robert Kraft, tight end Rob Gronkowski and others. They conducted news conferences, saw their names on the videoboard and wore special Patriots jerseys made for them.
As part of his visit, Aljalian -- who now calls his health "perfect" -- handed Brady a thank-you note that included $10, as well as an explanation of Gabriel's Day of Kindness.
Brady accepted it with a smile, giving Aljalian a big hug.
