FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The most significant news from the New England Patriots' initial injury report of the week is that starting defensive end Chandler Jones didn't sustain a new injury in Saturday's divisional-round win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jones left the game midway through the fourth quarter and didn't return. He reached down toward his right knee while chasing quarterback Alex Smith, who was rolling out toward the sideline.
But the Patriots only list Jones with abdomen and toe injuries, injuries he has been dealing with for multiple weeks. Jones was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough practice.
In all, the Patriots put 20 players on their injury report, with special-teams captain Matthew Slater (shin) the lone player not participating in practice.
Fifteen players were limited, including linebacker Jamie Collins (back). Also, linebacker Darius Fleming (shin/back) was a new addition to the report after telling the story of needing 22 stitches after helping a woman trapped inside a smoking car last Thursday.
