Bill Belichick transitions from head coach to head college scout

Every year at this time, Bill Belichick makes the transition from head coach of the New England Patriots to head college scout.

In doing so, Belichick visits various college campuses, attending pro days and sometimes putting prospects through private workouts and film sessions. On Monday, Belichick was spotted at Auburn University.

This won't be Belichick's last stop on the scouting trail. In past years, prospects have noted that he's as involved as any head coach when it comes to pre-draft scouting and interviews.

Last year at Auburn, the Patriots spotted safety/linebacker Brandon King, who became a top special-teams player for them after signing as an undrafted free agent.
