FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- In the 2015 preseason, the wife of then-New England Patriots tight end Scott Chandler posted a feel-good video on social media that went viral. Now, after a season in which things didn't go the way the Patriots and Chandler envisioned, she has posted a more somber message.
Blessed beyond measure by this man that I get to call my husband. Looking forward to many more years and adventures. pic.twitter.com/67sB7nawHF— Alissa Chandler (@AlissaChandler) April 2, 2016
Scott Chandler had signed a two-year contract with the Patriots last offseason that had a maximum value of $5.3 million. He appeared in 15 games (four starts) and finished with 23 receptions for 259 yards and four touchdowns, then was released this offseason with a "failed physical" designation.
