CB Logan Ryan on Patriots offseason program: 'Everyone shows up'

The New England Patriots' voluntary offseason program began Monday, and this comment from fourth-year cornerback Logan Ryan was notable.

"It's good to see everybody back, everyone in good shape. We're one of those teams where everyone shows up. It's important to us. It's important to get a good start and get that jump over everybody else, because the whole team is here and we're building that camaraderie," Ryan told the team's official website. "We're all excited to be back and have a little chip on our shoulder."

As players begin the offseason program with a focus on strength and conditioning work, the club's scouting staff is putting the finishing touches on its draft preparations. Director of player personnel Nick Caserio held the team's pre-draft news conference on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, safety Devin McCourty and running back Donald Brown are scheduled to meet with reporters on Thursday as part of the media access from the offseason program.

Here is a snapshot look at some of the upcoming dates from a media perspective:

April 29-30: Days 2-3 of NFL draft

May 26: Organized team activity

June 7-9: Mandatory minicamp

June 13: Organized team activity

The team is also scheduled to have OTAs (without media access) on the following dates: May 23-24, June 1-2 and June 14 and 16.
