FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The personnel wheels are always spinning in the NFL, especially with the New England Patriots, and the past three days have revealed that the club has taken a closer look at two free-agent safeties.
Former #Saints S Vinnie Sunseri worked out for the #Patriots last week. His recovery from ACL surgery is going well (hit 9 month mark).

The Patriots don't have any openings on their 90-man roster, but are always exploring potential upgrades. The following is the safety depth chart:
3. Duron Harmon
5. Nate Ebner
The top four are viewed as locks to make the roster.
The club also has second-year player Brock Vereen, who has corner/safety flexibility, as well as core special teams player Brandon King and rookie Kamu Grugier-Hill, who are hybrid safety/linebacker types.
Ebner, who inked a two-year deal to stick with the club this offseason, is training with the U.S. Rugby Team.
