METAIRIE, La. -- Judging by Drew Brees' social media accounts, Halloween isn't much different from a typical week in the Brees household. The New Orleans Saints quarterback often posts pictures of his kids dressed up as superheroes -- or of him and his wife, Brittany, going to the movies in full costume.
But it should come as little surprise that they always tackle the holiday with zeal. This year, Brees said it will be a "Star Wars" theme for him, Brittany, sons Baylen, Bowen and Callen and daughter Rylen.
"That's kind of been the deal here for the last few weeks," Brees said. "I think we're going to have an Anakin Skywalker. I think we're going to have an Obi-Wan Kenobi. I think we might have a Darth Maul -- look out. Maybe a Chewie, Chewbacca. Maybe a stormtrooper. A little Princess Leia, of course. And is it Queen Amidala, is that right? I'm kinda like having to refresh my memory."
Brees laughed when asked whether The Force is strong with his family.
"Yes, The Force is quite strong in the Brees household right now," Brees said.
Brees, who has dressed as Iron Man among other past Halloween costumes, said he is not sure which costume will be his yet this year.
"I'm just going to kind of pick up the scraps and see what's left," Brees said.
