After four days of practice, Jets take the fifth ... to rest

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Monday morning's wake-up call at New York Jets training camp:

What's happening: Nothing. After four days of practice, the last two in full pads, the Jets get a day off, as mandated by the collective bargaining agreement.

What's hot: They will return to the practice field on Tuesday, the start of a four-day stretch that will lead into Saturday night's Green & White scrimmage at MetLife Stadium. The key question Tuesday will be the health of defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson, who "tweaked" (Todd Bowles' word) a hamstring on Sunday afternoon. Bowles didn't think it was serious and hinted that Wilkerson, after a day to rest, could be ready. We'll see. Other injured players: Running back Stevan Ridley (knee), defensive end Kevin Vickerson (hamstring) and wide receiver DeVier Posey (hamstring). Posey could be ready to practice.
