The Nets will work out some local talent this week.

The team announced Tuesday that it will bring in Lamont "Momo" Jones and Kevin Parrom for workouts this week.

Jones is from Harlem and starred at Rice High School before bouncing around several prep schools during his high school tenure. Parrom had a strong career at St. Raymond's in the Bronx before transferring to prep school for his senior season.

Both Jones and Parrom attended the University of Arizona. Jones later transferred to Iona.

Parrom and Jones will work out on Thursday along with G Trevin Parks (Johnson C. Smith), F Jordan Aboudou (France), F Richard Howell (N.C. State) and C Vander Joaquim (Hawaii).

On Wednesday, the Nets will play host to PG Kris Rosales (Hope International), PG Isaiah Canaan (Murray State), G Warren Niles (Oral Roberts), G Trevis Simpson (UNC Greensboro), F Tyler Griffey (Illinois) and F Gregory Echenique (Creighton).

The Nets have the 22nd pick in the first round of Thursday's draft. In his latest mock draft, ESPN senior writer Chad Ford projects that Brooklyn will select SG Tony Snell from New Mexico.
