Notes: Kirilenko practices; meek D-Will

Brooklyn Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko practiced Monday and could return to the lineup Tuesday night against the Spurs, assuming he feels fine in the morning, according to reporters in San Antonio.

Kirilenko has missed the past 25 games (26 on the season) due to back spasms. He has had three setbacks and received two epidurals while trying to come back.

Kirilenko will be on a minutes restriction if he plays, according to the reports.

• Point guard Deron Williams told reporters following Saturday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers that he needs to be more aggressive. Agreed (and I said so in the blog). Williams has taken just 39 shots over his past four games.

• If you recall last season, the Nets lost by 31 to the Spurs in San Antonio on New Year’s Eve. They were outscored 30-5 in the third quarter.

Brooklyn is 1-19 in its last 20 regular-season meetings against San Antonio. The Nets have lost 10 straight in San Antonio, last winning there Jan. 22, 2002. All time, the Nets are 4-36 in San Antonio.
