Plumlee is averaging 5.6 points and 3.0 rebounds on 62.9 percent shooting in 33 games, though he’s currently out of Nets coach Jason Kidd’s rotation.
Plumlee is a terrific dunker, so he’s a perfect fit for this type of exhibition.
Other Nets that have appeared in the game in the past include Brook Lopez, Nenad Krstic, Richard Jefferson, Kenyon Martin, Derrick Favors, Sean Williams, Marcus Williams, Stephen Jackson, Keith Van Horn, Kerry Kittles and P.J. Brown.
Plumlee is only 23, and looks like he could be a solid rotation player for Brooklyn in the future.
The NBA All-Star reserves are announced Thursday. Joe Johnson has the best shot for Brooklyn, but he’s gone through a recent rough patch.
Mirza Teletovic (42.2 percent) could be a candidate for the 3-point Shootout.
