The Brooklyn Nets aren’t going to miss back-to-back sets. Nope.

The Nets dropped to 6-13 in the second half of back-to-backs and saw their three-game winning streak come to an end with a 115-111 loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night at Amway Center.

What it means: The Nets (43-35) can basically forget about home-court advantage in the playoffs. It’s looking more and more likely they’re going to get the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Joe Johnson’s bid to tie the game fell short when he was blocked by Kyle O'Quinn while trying to shoot a 3-pointer with nine seconds remaining.

Johnson had 11 of his 31 points in the final 3:17. But it wasn’t enough.

Brooklyn allowed Orlando to shoot 55.8 percent from the field and could never get a critical stop when it needed to. Arron Afflalo had 25 points to lead the Magic, who got 51 points from their bench.

Tuesday night’s hero, Mason Plumlee, had 16 points and five rebounds off the bench on 7-for-8 shooting. He fouled out late in the fourth quarter.

Kevin Garnett, who rested on Tuesday night, had an extremely productive 17 minutes, finishing with five points, eight rebounds and six assists. Garnett wanted to go back in late in the game, but Nets coach Jason Kidd said no.

Deron Williams shot just 3-for-14 from the field.

Slow start: The Nets trailed by as many as 16 but took a 73-72 lead in the third quarter thanks to four 3-pointers from Mirza Teletovic. It didn’t last long.

The Magic ripped off an 18-1 run in the second quarter. At one point, E'Twaun Moore scored 14 consecutive points. Brooklyn trailed 55-43 at the half after being outscored 35-21 in the second.

Rest and relaxation: Paul Pierce (right hip pointer) and Shaun Livingston (sprained right big toe) both got the night off. Andray Blatche (illness) missed his second straight game.

Up next: The Nets return home and face the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. Brooklyn has won 15 straight games at Barclays Center.
