A source confirmed to ESPN NewYork.com that the Nets are interested in free agent Ryan Hollins to fill their backup center role. The source said the Clippers and Hornets also have interest in the 27-year-old veteran.
The New York Daily News and NBA.com reported that the Nets are also interested in Nazr Mohammed to potentially play behind Brook Lopez. Yahoo! Sports reported that Darko Milicic could be a fit.
Hollins has played 314 career NBA games and averaged 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds. Last season, he played 39 games with Cleveland and Boston.
