EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Nets coach Avery Johnson has a problem on his hands.
A good problem.
The Nets have so much depth, and Johnson is still trying to figure out if he wants to play a nine-, 10- or 11-man rotation.
As it stands right now, the starting lineup will feature Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries and Brook Lopez.
The second unit will feature C.J. Watson, MarShon Brooks, Josh Childress, Mirza Teletovic and Andray Blatche.
Granted, the Nets aren't even through their second day of training camp, so things could change.
"The problem is, Keith Bogans, he's a great defender, man," Johnson said Wednesday. "He has skill and experience that you can depend, and Deron can play some two. So do you go with a 10-man rotation, or do you go with nine? Do you go to an 11-man because you've got guys like Reggie (Evans) and my young boy 'Toko' (Tornike Shengelia). Josh Childress also wants some minutes. It's going to be interesting to see how it all shakes out. But the main thing is, whether we go with nine or 10, I don't see it being any less than nine.
"It's a good problem to have, and the main thing is the guys we have are only concerned about winning a championship."
Having depth is obviously important in case of injuries, but also because an 82-game season can be a grind -- and it's a luxury to be able to sit your key players for a possible playoff run down the road.
