W2W4: Nets vs. Rockets

The Brooklyn Nets will look to improve their winning streak to five when they take on the Houston Rockets on Friday night at Barclays Center. Here’s what we’ll be watching for:

HOW’S D-WILL? Deron Williams received his third set of cortisone shots in both of his ankles this season on Thursday. How will he play? How long can he play? He’s looked good in two games since the All-Star break, averaging 21.0 points and 8.5 assists in 38.9 minutes. D-Will always enjoys going up against ex-New York Knick Jeremy Lin too.

GETTING REVENGE? The Rockets beat the Nets 119-106 in Houston on Jan. 26. They killed Brooklyn in transition and in the paint. The Nets are going to look to play a grind-it-out half-court game against the Rockets. In its last four games, Brooklyn (33-22) has averaged 104.5 points on 45 percent shooting. Houston averages 106.4.

HARD TO GUARD: James Harden is coming off a career-high 46-point effort on Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. In his last five games, he’s averaging 34.8 points.
