EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Since Brooklyn Nets power forward Reggie Evans said guarding LeBron James was no different than guarding Joe Johnson or Andray Blatche, the Miami Heat forward and his team have been literally unstoppable.

The Heat lost to the Indiana Pacers two days after trouncing the Nets, but have won 14 in a row since. James is averaging 28.6 points, 7.9 assists and 7.8 rebounds while shooting 60.7 percent from the field over that 16-game span.

"It's ridiculous," Nets point guard Deron Williams replied on Monday when asked about James. "The level of play he's at right now is just unbelievable, but being around him and seeing how hard he works and studies the game and his physical abilities, he's right on cue.

"The way he's playing right now, it's going to be hard to stop those guys."

The Nets went 0-3 against James and the Heat this season, losing those games by a combined 63 points. It is unknown if Evans' comments specifically sparked James' recent domination, but they certainly didn't hurt.

• Joe Johnson was limited in practice to a due to the sore left heel that caused him to miss three games recently. Johnson is averaging 11 points in two games since the injury.
