The unofficial Giants cut day list

The Giants don't have to release their official cuts until 9 p.m. Friday night. But here's an unofficial list (that will be updated continuously all day) of who is staying or going based on reports, sources, and player/agent tweets.

Remember, some players who tweet that they are staying with the Giants might still be cut but asked to join the practice squad. Same goes for some players who tweet that they have been cut -- they could join the practice squad as well.

Also, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that there are rumblings the Giants are looking to make a trade for an offensive lineman. Stay tuned.

DT Marvin Austin: Last year's second-round pick will be on the active roster. But the team can designate one IR player who can come off IR after eight weeks. So it remains to be seen how Austin's back is next week.

DE Adewale Ojomo: The preseason sensation made the final 53-man roster, and appears to be the fourth defensive end.

DE Adrian Tracy: Confirmed that he will be back. That means the Giants could keep five defensive ends.

S Will Hill: The safety impressed all preseason long.

DE Matt Broha: Agent tweeted that Broha has been asked to join the practice squad.

CB Laron Scott: Tweeted "LOOKS LIKE YA BOY IS STAYING IN THE BIG APPLE... #BLESSED." We'll have to see if that means he made the roster or was asked to join the practice squad if he clears waivers.

RB D.J. Ware: Ware tweeted: "5 great years and 2 SB rings its been fun #NYG. Time is done here." This could mean both Andre Brown and Da'Rel Scott made the roster.

WR David Douglas: Fan favorite released. Giants would love to have him on the practice squad, but he may not clear waivers.

LB Greg Jones: Cut, according to sources. Jones was thrust into the starting lineup at MLB in the opener last year due to an injury to Jonathan Goff. Caught in numbers game.

DT Marcus Thomas: Tweeted thanks to the Giants and "it was fun working with a great organization like the giants."

WR Dan DePalma: According to Newark Star-Ledger.

WR Isaiah Stanback: According to Newark Star-Ledger.

TE Larry Donnell: According to Newark Star-Ledger, could end up on practice squad.

LB Jake Muasau: According to New York Daily News.

DE Craig Marshall: According to New York Daily News, could end up on practice squad.

DT Dwayne Hendricks: Cut, perhaps a good sign for Markus Kuhn.

OL Selvish Capers: According to New York Daily News. Practice squad again?

OL Matt McCants: Waived, perhaps heading to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

CB Bruce Johnson: Heading onto IR with a shoulder injury, according to Newark Star-Ledger.

S Tyler Sash: Suspended for first four games.

(Here was my final stab at the 53-man roster from Thursday.)
