Monday: The Day in Cortland

Week 2 of training camp begins Monday morning, with an 8:20 practice at SUNY-Cortland. The forecast calls for some sun (85 degrees), but like most days, there's a chance of thunderstorms (30%). Let's hope there isn't a deluge like last Thursday. There's also a 4:15 p.m. workout, devoted entirely to special teams.

This is Day 9 of the Darrelle Revis' holdout, which means he has accumulated more in fines (about $128,000) than most people make in a year.

Technically, this is a game week for the New York Jets -- a long game week. They play Monday night against the New York Giants in the New Meadowlands Stadium. That means, by mid and late week, you'll start to read about starting lineups (who's in, who's out), the playing-time plan (how many reps for Mark Sanchez) and -- just a wild prediction here -- a sassy quote from Rex Ryan about how the Jets own the town.

New York, I mean, not Cortland.
