The 232nd pick: The Last 5 Years
2011: Baron Batch, RB, Steelers
2010: Jammie Kirlew, DE, Broncos
2009: Julian Edelman, WR, Patriots
2008: Keith Zinger, TE, Falcons
2007: Steve Vallos, G, Seahawks
Analysis: The Patriots made a terrific pick here, taking Edelman -- a former college QB -- and turning him into a wide receiver. Last season, they used him as a defensive back. That's what you call getting bang for your buck. Seventh-round picks rarely produce this kind of result, especially from a roster-management standpoint. Vallos, too, was a good pick, having played in 40 games. The rest of the group, not so much. Zinger had a cup of coffee with the Jets last summer.
