FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- After sitting out Wednesday with a sore lower back, New York Jets LB David Harris returned to the practice field Thursday and participated in all drills during the open portion of practice.
Harris hurt his back Wednesday while weight lifting, according to Rex Ryan, who downplayed the injury and said Harris would be play Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Harris is a vital member of the defense. Not only is he the team's leading tackler, but he wears the defensive headset and relays the sideline calls to the huddle.
The Jets practiced indoors, escaping the heavy rain. Every player on the roster practiced, making the Jets one of the healthiest teams in the league.
