Jets playing-time breakdown

Unofficially, here are the playing-time totals for the Jets' skill-position players, based on a total of 70 offensive snaps:

WIDE RECEIVER

Braylon Edwards -- 53/70

Santonio Holmes -- 51/70

Jerricho Cotchery --40/70

Brad Smith -- 4/70

RUNNING BACK

LaDainian Tomlinson -- 46/70

Shonn Greene -- 23/70

FULLBACK

Tony Richardson -- 28/70

John Conner -- 7/70

TIGHT END

Dustin Keller -- 51/70

Ben Hartsock -- 15/70

Wayne Hunter (OT) -- 10/70

Matt Mulligan -- 1/70

Analysis: The Jets, intent on running the ball, used a lot of two-back groupings for a majority of the game. They also went to their "heavy" package, which explains Hunter's inflated snap total. Down by 10 points late in the fourth quarter, they went almost exclusively with their three-receiver personnel package. Notice that Holmes logged more snaps than Cotchery; that was a first.
