Rex will use brother Rob as resource to prepare for Pats

Rex Ryan beat his brother Rob in the Ryan Bowl earlier this month in Cleveland. This week, Rex will use him as a resource as he prepares to take on Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

Rob Ryan spent four seasons (2000-03) as linebackers coach under Belichick. He won two rings with the Pats (XXXVI and XXXVIII).

Rob's Browns also beat the Patriots, 34-14, in Week 9, so he should have plenty of insight to offer on New England, though he still may be smarting after the Jets' overtime win against the Browns two weeks ago.

Rex initially played coy when asked if he'd reach out to Rob before the Monday night showdown in Foxboro.

"I'm not going to say a word because it could be tampering," he said with a smile. "It could be this, it could be that. I don't want to get into that. But, it absolutely is a 'Yes.' No question."
