As expected, neither C Nick Mangold (ankle) nor CB Antonio Cromartie (groin) practiced Wednesday for the Jets. Don't be alarmed, as the team expects both players to play Sunday against the Chargers. The game is personal for Cromartie, who spent four years with the Chargers before being shipped to the Jets.
Cromartie was on the practice field and stretched with the team, even did some jogging, but he didn't participate in positional drills. He was injured in the fourth quarter on Monday night's win over the Dolphins, but the injury doesn't appear serious.
CB Isaiah Trufant, who missed the last game with a pulled hamstring, did some stretching, but didn't practice. He's unlikely to play this week.
The newest Jet, WR Eron Riley, is wearing No. 19.
UPDATE: Did some checking on the last Jets player to wear No. 19. Any guesses? No cheating by looking it up. Keyshawn Johnson wore 19 from 1996 to 2000, but seeing Riley in 19 got me thinking if anyone since Johnson had worn it.
