D'An has no plan to bench Fields

DALLAS -- Shooting guard Landry Fields played a season-low 15 minutes during the Knicks' overtime loss to the Celtics.

He scored just three points while taking four shots. Over the last two games, he's 2-for-10. But Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni said monday that he doesn't plan on taking Fields out of the starting lineup.

"No. That's who we are," D'Antoni said of his starting lineup.

Fields hasn't scored in double-figures the last three games. He has scored a total of 13 points during that span after getting 16 in a 99-82 win vs. Atlanta on Feb. 22.

There were some other rotation issues for the Knicks during the Celtics game, but D’Antoni said he likes how the bench minutes are distributed between Baron Davis, Steve Novak and Iman Shumpert.

"I'm sticking with guys," D'Antoni said. "We're getting better. You never know what the ripple effect is. The team is always fluid. That's why I always said, even Baron, that’s always fluid, I would never put a ceiling on somebody. I like what we got.

"Lanny didn't have a great game yesterday, but I got complete confidence in him and a lot of times between J.R. [Smith], Landry and Shump, whoever is playing well down the stretch is going to play."
