ESPN.com asked 104 experts to rate each NBA player on a 0-to-10 scale, in terms of "the current quality of each player" in order to rank NBA players from 500 to 1.
Carmelo Anthony's ranking might surprise you.
Anthony, who is undoubtedly one of the top offensive talents on the planet, was ranked No. 17.
I think Anthony should've been ranked higher, but my colleagues no doubt penalized Anthony for his shortcomings on the defensive end and his inefficiency on offense. Anthony has the ability to be a strong defender, particularly on the ball, but scouts bemoan the fact that his effort isn't always there.
On this year's list, Anthony is one ahead of Chris Bosh and one behind Tony Parker. Last season, Anthony was ranked 12th.
Question: Where would you rank Anthony? Do you agree with ESPN's ranking? Why or why not?
