Shumpert's agent: No trade request

Iman Shumpert's agent denied a report that stated Shumpert's confidants prefer that the Knicks trade him prior to Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.

"For the record, no one has requested an Iman trade from the Knicks," Shumpert's agent, Happy Walters, tweeted on Sunday.

The report, on SheridanHoops.com, stated that people close to Shumpert had "major concerns (from people close to Shumpert) over how the Knicks are developing him. They feel he’s being played out of position (at small forward) and his confidence is suffering because of it. They understand the team is having success and it has to be the right deal, but they’d prefer Iman in another situation... And soon."

The website cited a source from another team.

On Twitter, Walters said the notion that Shumpert or those close to him are unhappy with the Knicks is "totally false."

The Knicks are listening to trade offers for Shumpert, but a team source said last week that a deal that would send the second-year guard to the Phoenix Suns for Jared Dudley as part of a multiplayer package is "unlikely at this point."

Mike Woodson said last week that the Knicks would not trade Shumpert.
