Jenrry Mejia starts working back from suspension

MILWAUKEE -- Two weeks from New York Mets right-hander Jenrry Mejia's PED suspension expiring, the former closer has started to appear in minor league games.

Mejia pitched a scoreless inning in the Gulf Coast League on Tuesday during which he allowed two hits and struck out three batters.

Barring a rainout, Mejia is eligible to return from his 80-game suspension on July 7. He will be ineligible to participate in the postseason if the Mets qualify.
