Jeurys Familia finishes last in NL All-Star 'Final Vote' tally

NEW YORK -- Barring becoming a late replacement for an injured player, New York Mets closer Jeurys Familia is not headed to the All-Star Game.

Familia finished last among the five National League candidates in this week's "Final Vote" campaign, in which fans could send an extra player to Cincinnati.

St. Louis' Carlos Martinez was voted in. Cincinnati's Johnny Cueto finished second, followed by Los Angeles' Clayton Kershaw, Colorado's Troy Tulowitzki and then Familia.

Familia is 2-0 with a 1.12 ERA and 0.893 WHIP. He has converted 24 saves in 26 chances.

Pitcher Jacob deGrom is the lone Mets representative at the All-Star Game.
