Mets' Juan Lagares satisfied calf issue only cramp

NEW YORK -- Juan Lagares, who departed in the final inning of the New York Mets' first-half finale on Sunday, believes his tight right calf is only a cramp. Lagares was examined postgame at the stadium by a team doctor.

He felt the muscle act up during his final at-bat, when he struck out in the eighth inning of the Mets' 5-3 win against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

"I just felt like a cramp," Lagares said. "But now I feel good. ... I was just a little afraid. I had to tell them because I didn't want it to get more than what it is. But, like I said, right now I feel good."
