Mets won't activate Michael Cuddyer until Monday

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The New York Mets plan to wait until Monday to activate Michael Cuddyer from the disabled list, general manager Sandy Alderson said.

Cuddyer went 0-for-3 and was intentionally walked while manning nine innings in right field for Class A St. Lucie on Friday night.

He will play a second rehab game with the Florida State League on Saturday, then join the Mets in St. Petersburg, although he will not be activated until the series opener against the Colorado Rockies.

Cuddyer is on the disabled list with a bone bruise below his left kneecap.

Alderson said Cuddyer got through Friday's rehab game feeling healthy.
