The Mets have added minor league pitchers Brad Holt, Eric Niesen and Nick Carr to their Arizona Fall League roster to round out the organization's contribution to the Mesa squad, which opens play Oct. 12.
Previously confirmed were right-hander Josh Stinson, left-hander Robert Carson, catcher Kai Gronauer, infielder Jordany Valdespin and outfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis.
Holt, a former supplemental first-round pick in the same 2008 draft class as first-round picks Ike Davis and Reese Havens, went a combined 3-14 with an 8.34 ERA between Double-A Binghamton and high-A St. Lucie.
Niesen, who could emerge as a lefty specialist in the bullpen in 2011, especially if Pedro Feliciano departs as a free agent, was 4-6 with a 5.14 ERA in 33 appearances (13 starts) with Binghamton. He missed a month with a concussion after getting struck in the back of the head with a throw from catcher Mike Nickeas to second base on a steal attempt while on the mound.
The right-handed Carr, 23, was 2-2 with a 4.70 ERA in 24 relief appearances over three Class A levels after recovering from Tommy John surgery.
UPDATE: Delete Stinson from the list of participants. He had pitched a lot of innings this year, and the Mets were one over pitcher-wise with the additions.
