Minors 7.9.16: Robert Gsellman returns from quadriceps injury for Vegas

ALBUQUERQUE 8, LAS VEGAS 5: Robert Gsellman returned from a quadriceps injury to make his first start since June 11. He allowed five runs in three innings, with all of the damage coming on a pair of homers to Tom Murphy, as the Isotopes built a 5-0 lead. Michael Conforto went 3-for-5 with a triple, homer and three RBIs in the loss. Box

CLEARWATER 4, ST. LUCIE 3: Derek Campbell led off the bottom of the ninth with a walk-off homer against Domingo Tapia. Campbell’s long ball -- his second of the game -- spoiled a ninth-inning comeback by the Mets. Trailing 3-1, David Thompson singled against Ulises Joaquin. Luis Guillorme then ripped a triple to pull the Mets within a run. Two batters later, Jhoan Urena singled to plate Guillorme. The Mets had a stellar chance to come away with multiple runs in the eighth. Three different players came to the plate with the bases loaded, but all the Mets mustered was a run-scoring fielder's choice by John Mora that made it 3-1. Joaquin struck out Kevin Taylor and retired Tomas Nido on a flyout to end that threat. The game was scoreless until the Threshers collected four consecutive two-out singles against Mets starter P.J. Conlon in the fifth to take a 2-0 lead. Campbell’s solo homer against Mike Hepple in the sixth made it 3-0. Threshers starter Shane Watson allowed four singles and two walks in seven scoreless innings. Conlon logged 5 1/3 innings and allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk. Box
