The Mets game has been rained out. It will be made up as a single-admission doubleheader on Thursday at 12:10 p.m.
The pitching will stay in order, with Jon Niese on Wednesday, R.A. Dickey in Game 1 on Thursday and Chris Capuano in Game 2 on Thursday.
With six games now in a five-day stretch, the Mets will need a spot starter Sunday, if not sooner. The logical maneuver would be to send down Ryota Igarashi before Sunday's game in Atlanta and promote Dillon Gee, who is on turn. Then Gee can be returned to Buffalo for a position player to increase the Mets' bench back to the standard five.
The alternative would be to use originally designated spot starter D.J. Carrasco.
Meanwhile, here's the ticket announcement from the Mets:
Only tickets marked “April 14 – Game 7” for Thursday’s game will be honored for the 12:10 p.m. game and makeup game to follow. Game time has been moved up one hour to 12:10 p.m. from 1:10 p.m. to accommodate the Rockies’ travel schedule.
Tickets from tonight’s rainout will NOT be valid for admission Thursday. Fans are encouraged to follow the standard rain-check ticket exchange policy on Mets.com.
