Collins said he believed the injury was related to dehydration in high-altitude Denver. The manager believed Francisco's absence may be limited to tonight's game.

Francisco said he first experienced the issue Saturday. His streak of five straight save conversions to open his Mets career ended Sunday when he surrendered a 10th-inning homer to Carlos Gonzalez.

"I was a little sore, but no pain," Francisco said about Sunday's game.

Collins added that he's not "right now" considering sharing of the closing role once Francisco is again ready to contribute.

"A lot of things in Denver is affected by, in my opinion, dehydration," Collins said. "You know, Mike Nickeas was sick yesterday. For me, it was altitude sickness and dehydration by playing out there."
