          The Mets have signed outfielder Jamie Hoffmann to a minor league deal, a major league source told ESPNNewYork.com.

          Hoffmann, 28, had four at-bats for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2011 and 24 plate appearances in 2009 with the club. He hit .254 with 11 homers and 44 RBIs in 366 at-bats with Triple-A Norfolk in the Baltimore Orioles organization last season.
