PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Shaun Marcum, LaTroy Hawkins and Pedro Feliciano all finally will appear Tuesday for the Mets.
The trio will pitch in a "B" game in Jupiter, Fla., against the Marlins. The major league club has a day off Tuesday.
Marcum told Mets officials he prefers to only make four spring-training starts leading into the regular season, as in previous years. He has been out of game action since appearing in the Feb. 23 Grapefruit League opener against the Washington Nationals. He has been throwing bullpen sessions and building up arm strength.
Hawkins, too, cited a longer spring training for his preference to wait until later in camp to competitively pitch.
Feliciano was just cleared to resume throwing. He will wear a heart monitor.
