Citi Field dimension tweaks expected

WASHINGTON -- The changes are unlikely to be overly dramatic, but the expectation remains that Citi Field will undergo a modest reconfiguration in right and right-center field this offseason to help the power numbers of Curtis Granderson and David Wright, according to team insiders.

Team officials are still working through the details and are not ready to announce anything firm.

It would mark the second modification to Citi Field's dimensions. Between the 2011 and '12 seasons, the Mets made radical adjustments to the stadium's dimensions -- reducing the "Mo's Zone" nook in right field, creating a "Party City Deck" in left field by building an eight-foot wall in front of the existing "Great Wall of Flushing," and trimming the dimensions in right-center.
