PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Bobby Parnell is due to open the season on the disabled list, in the final stages of his rehab from Tommy John surgery.
Asked how long Parnell might miss, a source told ESPNNewYork.com that he did not believe the absence would be lengthy.
"I would think two to three weeks," said the source about the absence from Opening Day, while cautioning that time frame is far from certain.
After appearing in last season's opener, Parnell underwent the Tommy John surgery on April 8.
Parnell is due to address the media on Wednesday in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
