Rapid Reaction: Nets acquire Bogdanovic

PLAYER: Bojan Bogdanovic

SCHOOL: KK Cibona VIP Zagreb (Croatia)

HEIGHT: 6-foot-8

WEIGHT: 216 pounds

What it means: According to Yahoo Sports! report, the Nets acquired the No. 31 pick -- the first pick in the second round - for cash and took Bogdanovic. He was on the fence about signing with a foreign club, and might have to be bought out. Bogdanovic finished second in the Euroleague in scoring this year. According to ESPN.com's Chad Ford, he would've been a first-round pick had he come out next season. Again, Ford, who had the Nets taking Bogdanovic, who averaged 18.9 points per game, at No. 36, called him "a steal."

How he fits: Bogdanovic gives the Nets some depth on the wing. He shoots 34 percent from beyond the arc, so he has the ability to stretch the defense. Again, this is all predicated on if he decides to come to the states.

Projected impact: Since much is unknown about Bogdanovic, we'll just have to wait and see. The Nets won't be able to have his services until 2012-13 unless they buy out his contract.
