Nets rookie MarShon Brooks struggled for a second consecutive night after missing six straight games with a broken toe.
The 23-year-old shooting guard shot 2-for-10, scored seven points and had six turnovers in 24 minutes.
"Honestly, I was struggling and overthinking," Brooks said following the Nets' 103-89 loss to the Spurs on Saturday night at Prudential Center. "Not believing in my shot, passing up some good shots and turning the ball over.
"It's a confidence thing for me. I just need to see the ball go through the hole a few times and I'll be fine. After the three-day break, I'll be fine."
Brooks plans on getting up 200-300 shots per day during the break.
"He passed up his shots a couple of times, but he's going to be fine," coach Avery Johnson said. "I just think these two games were sort of like practices because of the way the games are going so fast. You don't really have the time, like in a normal season, to go through a rigorous practice and get a guy who's been rehabbing some time.
"You gotta do stuff behind the scenes, like putting him in a for a few minutes in the game. Hopefully next week and as time goes on going into the break, he will play the way he was playing before he was injured."
