Marte likely done for season as well

New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said on Thursday that left-handed reliever Damaso Marte (shoulder surgery) is probably done for the season as well. Cashman said "if everything goes perfect" that Marte might be able to come back in September. He underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder last October.

"Yes, it’s possible that he’s available late," Cashman said. "I’m not counting on it. Is there a chance? Yeah. There’s a chance. But that’s with everything going right."
