Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira dove for balls on Tuesday and Wednesday, which has resulted in a sore shoulder. Teixeira was lifted in the eighth inning of the Yankees' 3-1 win over the White Sox on Wednesday night. Both Teixeira and manager Joe Girardi said it is not serious.
"It kind of bothered him," Girardi said.
There are no tests scheduled. So it doesn't sound serious ... at least not yet.
