Buzz: Campos gets shelled

A recurring feature of the blog, Buzz, will follow Manny Banuelos and Dellin Betances, as well as other top Yankee prospects, all season long.

As the acquisition of Michael Pineda has become worse and worse by the day, many fans have pointed to the strong start by Jose Campos, the other player the Yankees received in the trade. He had pitched well all year, but got knocked around in his latest start.

Saturday, Campos gave up eight earned runs in 2 2/3 innings for Class A Charleston. Entering the game, he had surrendered just thee earned runs. Despite the bad start, Campos' is still 3-0 with a 4.01 ERA That would be much higher were it not for that dismal outing.
