Game 100: Yankees (57-42) at Rangers (47-52)

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Mark Teixeira is out of the starting lineup Wednesday for the third game of the series, set for 8:05 p.m. ET at Globe Life Park.

Teixeira, the only Yankees starter without a hit in Tuesday’s 21-5 victory over the Rangers, was struck on the foot by a pitch in the sixth inning and left the game for a pinch runner. Manager Joe Girardi said it is a scheduled off day for Teixeira and his first baseman “is fine.”

Brian McCann moves into Teixeira’s cleanup spot and Garrett Jones will play first base. Returning after a day off is Carlos Beltran in right field. Stephen Drew draws his first start of the series at second base.

Masahiro Tanaka is the starting pitcher for the Yankees. The lineup that will face Rangers 10-game winner Colby Lewis:
