Just how long had it been since Oliver Perez has appeared in a game? Well, it's been since Aug. 1.

And according to the Elias Sports Bureau, Perez's streak of 25 straight games without an appearance was the longest by a major leaguer this season. Perez snapped it in the seventh inning Monday, when he entered and served up a homer to Brian McCann on the second pitch of a relief appearance.
