The third baseman hobbled around in obvious pain for a few seconds before staggering into short center field before rolling around on the grass and then turning to lay face down as Joe Girardi and trainer Gene Monahan rushed out to minister to him.

After several minutes, A-Rod got up and walked off the field under his own power. More to come as we learn how serious the injury is.
