Suh among four NFC North All-Pros

The NFC North is the home of the only rookie named as an Associated Press first-team All-Pro. Congratulations to Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh for that honor.

Suh had already been named a Pro Bowl starter after leading NFL interior linemen with 10 sacks. He is recovering from shoulder surgery and thus won't play in the game, but Monday's news affirmed what we discussed for much of last season: Suh was one of the top defensive tackles in the game. The last rookie defensive linemen to be a first-team All-Pro was the Tennessee Titans' Jevon Kearse in 1999.

Here is the full rendering of NFC North All-Pro players:

First team

Chicago Bears kick returner Devin Hester

Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh

Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews

Second team

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher

Chicago Bears safety Chris Harris*

Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson

Green Bay Packers safety Nick Collins
