Locker Room Buzz: Detroit Lions

CHICAGO -- Observed in the locker room after the Detroit Lions' 21-19 win over the Chicago Bears.

Happy group: There was a sense of enjoyment in the Lions' locker room after this game, especially as they found out the Green Bay Packers lost, giving the Lions sole possession of first place in the division.

“Guys are happy in there,” quarterback Matthew Stafford said. “But at the same time, we're not satisfied.”

Happy Fairley: Defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who made a big two-point conversion stop at the end of the game to seal the win, sat in a chair and was one of the last players to field questions Sunday.

He did joke, though, that he had to be careful in his celebration after the stop, when he ran out to almost the 50-yard line after the play. Then emotions took over.

“Excited,” Fairley said. “Just made a game-changing play from the defense, and the D-line, that's what we always harp on as a D-line, let's go make a game-changing play. It was me today.”

Johnson posing: Late in the postgame locker room session, as most of the players left, Calvin Johnson was stopped by a fan in the locker room to take a picture.
