QB aside, Rams mostly healthy for Week 8

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- A cursory glance at the St. Louis Rams' injury report would lead one to think that the team has enjoyed great fortune in terms of health as the halfway point of the season nears.

Friday's injury report listed just two Rams: cornerback Cortland Finnegan, who was limited with a thigh ailment, and running back Benny Cunningham, who did not participate with an ankle injury.

Finnegan is moving closer to a return and all parties are optimistic he can return Monday night against Seattle. It's unlikely Cunningham will be available this week but even he is making progress toward a return after doing some work on the side Thursday and Friday.

Of course, all of that would be seen as pretty good news if the Rams hadn't just lost starting quarterback Sam Bradford for the season because of a torn ACL in his left knee. It just goes to show that "luck" with injuries is nothing but a relative term when it comes to the NFL.

The Rams have one more practice Saturday before having to turn in a final injury report for the week.
